If you have given wrong information about your gender or name and now want to change it, then let us tell you one thing that normally flight tickets aren’t allowed to transfer to any other person, be it a friend or someone from your own family.
In case if you mistakenly entered the wrong gender or name, then the best thing to do would be to contact the airline service who tickets you have bought and ask them to change it. They should be able to do it for you.
Please note that airlines prohibit even minor corrections. However, each airline has different rules and it completely depends on them whether they will allow you to change it or not. This service may include a small fee too.
What you can do is, log in to the website from where you book the ticket. Go to my account and then my order. Click on the booking tab. After that, click on edit order option or edit, whatever option you see in order to edit the information. If you see a “Change passenger information” there, then click it. You might be asked to attach a copy of a valid ID proof, like a passport. You will have to upload it and then leave a comment asking for the right steps to be taken.
The customer care of that airline may call you asking for additional details if required. But, do note that this process may sometimes take from 1 to 2 weeks. All the communication between you and the customer service will be done through telephone and email.
